[SOLVED]Transform Zentyal ldap Master to ldap Slave
« on: November 27, 2011, 10:08:31 pm »
Hi,

In Zentyal ldap master/slave setup it is not possible to have modules dependent on users and groups module on the master node. I would like to change my ldap master node to a ldap slave node.
The problem is that currently I have samba installed on my master node, which makes it impossible to add a ldap slave.

Is there a way to uninstall completely the module "user and groups" so you can reconfigure it to a slave?

I have tried to uninstall the module, but when I install it again it is not possible to reconfigure it.

Zentyal version 2.2

thanks,
Master

/usr/share/zentyal-users/reinstall (be warned that will delete all your users modules config).

how do you do the same thing with zentyal-samba and zenyal-printers? So it will remove all configuration files and populate LDAP wth new information?

thanks,
Master

I'm afraid that you will have to restore that manually. This will be improved in the next version, so changing LDAP mode is less painful.
