Can't join domain, client email wont login, and a folder sharing query

I cant figure out how to get email working. the clients keep getting asked for a user name and password even though they exist and the password is correct.

can someone please run through all the settings on ebox that i need to get email working, incase i missed something?

when i get internal email working, i'll be wanting to tell our DNS to forward email from the internet straight to the ebox, for the ebox to sort out and deliever to the clients on our work domain. so please bare this in mind with any instructions you give

after much, MUCH reading through the forum, i finally found the reason.

the username you log on with needs to be username@domain.name

this needs to the MORE CLEAR in the ebox web interface when setting up email accounts!!!!

* Regarding to your mail issues, have you set the full username, that is, user@virtualdomain.

i thought that meant a setting on ebox, not when trying to log in as a client

sorry, it wasn't clear.

i still think it needs mentioning on the ebox web interface.

a nice easy guide on how to set everything up would be useful too.
