[SOLVED] Zentyal and NFS
« on: June 14, 2011, 10:29:56 pm »
I am running Zentyal on a machine that also has an NFS share.  Problem is, the NFS share won't work because Zentyal Firewall won't allow communication between my internal network to it  on the 2049 port for NFS.

If I go in the configuration for Packet filtering for Internal Networks to Zentyal, there is no option for NFS and it looks like you can't create custom rules, either.  How do I get around this problem?  Is  it safe to just allow anything from the Internal network to Zentyal?

Hi, and welcome.

The firewall works on the basis of services. You can create an NFS "service" and set your rules there. Then you can add that service to the firewall.
