I'm some Problem In File Sharing

Last Time I had ready to config but I don't now how to use file sharing service




I'm not sure I configure Is Correct.

What do you wan to do exactly?

which directory do you want to share?

who users/groups will have access to it?

If you just want a group of users to be able to share  a directory do the following:

 - Create a group, and set a share directory for it. For example group name: mygroup, share name: mygroup
 - Add as many users as you need to that group
 - Save changes

To access from a windows machine you could you the explorer to point it at:

Code: [Select]

\\ebox-ip\mygroup

Then you will be prompted a user and password.

Hi,

I have just installed e-box today and bumped into File Sharing problem. When I click on the File Sharing option, I cannot add any new share. I am unable to get the Samba Share +add new option.

I have tried to reinstall Ubuntu + e-Box twice but the problem is still there.

Can anyone help?

Please, follow the download instructions [1] to install new ebox-samba package to get shares working.
