eBox Mysql Module?
« on: July 23, 2008, 04:21:19 am »
Hi,

I would like to know if ebox has mysql module? If yes, can you please help how can I integrate mysql inside ebox? What is the module name? However, if there is none how can I add it to my ebox?

Thanks.

I think no exist a mysql-ebox module, at least I don't read anything about that here... but don't worry, you can use apt to install the latest version of mysql... and although you can't configure mysql from eBox UI, isn't hard initialize the service for then use a more friendly GUI tool as those available at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/gui-tools/5.0.html for administrate mysql.
I use mysql in eBox 0.11.99 (sarge) without problems and my linux skill is too basic.

PS. Remember, if you add a new service "uncontrolled" by eBox you need create in eBox UI the services ports and allow these services to determinate objects/IPs

Kind regards.
