Time based Firewalling
« on: July 21, 2008, 01:50:01 pm »
Is there any way of allowing sites/browsing/access by time in the ebox firewall? I really need to get rid of ISA as its poo but thats the one feature that makes it almost worthwhile. I have 8 ISA servers to look after (poor me) and I'm sick of them so would rather move to something that actually works like it should.

You can't do that from the web interface yet.

If you want and you tell us more accurately what you wanna do we could give you a script to be run by cron....

Hi. Thanks for the response.

From 8am till 13:00 no access to social websites for an object (Group) same from 14:00 till 17:00 during weekdays. Weekends and prior or after working hours access is granted.

That make sense?

Basically. Their business is sorta e-mail and net driven but the social sites are being hit hard and constantly and productivity has gone down to the point that last warnings have been issued and contracts redrawn up for the employees. The object called 'Social Sites' obviously we'll keep up to date as there are more apearing all the time.

Please help out here or I'm forced to go back to ISA.
