Webinterface login
« on: July 19, 2008, 12:02:45 am »
Hi all,

I've just installed ebox. When I try to log in via web interface, I get "Wrong password" messages with root password and "ebox". When typing the user password, I get the password screen (without "Wrong password")  a couple of seconds later.

What am I doing wrong...

Thanks in advance

Lewis

Hi Lewis

Okay there is a few things that can be wrong by the looks of it you're using internet explorer to view web interface
if so i would recommend Firefox another thing is if you connect to your server through a router or something make sure port 443 is allowed in the router the default password is ebox not the root password upon installation
Only people that wants to no more will ask!!

If you misspelled the password, you may reconfigure by running this command:
Code: [Select]
$ sudo dpkg-reconfigure ebox
It will ask you to set the password again.

Hello Hannes1985, sixstone,

thanks for your answers!

The hint with firefox was a pretty good one: Logging in with IE6 works ;-), but not with FF :-(
Additionally, I really changed the default passeword during installation (don't ask me how and why ;-)).

Now I'm working on another port, but I will try and set back to 443.

Best regards and thanks again

Lewis

Thanks for your feedback!

I've just updated the download web page to inform about enabling cookies to access Web interface :).
