install/activate Ubuntu Pro or not

I noticed that our Zentyal domain controller (Zentyal 6.2 community edition) has not received any updates lately.
It seems that support for Ubuntu 18.04 has ended which can be extended by registering and activating Ubuntu Pro.
Would it be safe to install 'ubuntu-advantage-tools' and then install various updates ?
Or could that interfere with Zentyal server functionality ?
What are my options ?

The many bug reports here after upgrade to v7.0 withheld me from upgrading, but I tried it and in my case no errors.
So I'm running v7 now and get regular updates again.
