Author Topic: [Solved]: Jabber did not connect correct (after upgrade 1.2 -> 1.4.1)  (Read 1542 times)

Hi,

after upgrading my Ebox-Server from 1.2 to 1.4.1 different jabber clients (pidgin, psi) refuse to connect correctly so that their state will be shown.

Both clients stop working in the state "Establish connection..."

When I look into /Var/log/c2s.log the [notice] says "SASL authentification succeded, follwed by a notice that the jabber-id (jid) had been bound.

So user/password seems to be correct, and even the connection/firewall should be okay.


Any Hints?  ???

Solved it by deleting the old databases in /var/lib/jabberd2/

1. Stop the jabber service using eBox interface

2. delete every file or database in /var/lib/jabberd2/

3. Restart the jabber service using eBox interface


maybe this helps others...
