Standalone CUPS Driver page hangs
« on: February 15, 2010, 01:42:30 pm »
Hi All, when trying to add a network printer via the standalone CUPS admin page, it hangs on the driver page, after selecting the printer manufacturer. Ebox 1.4, samsung clp-600n (i know, this version isnt supported, but that shouldn't stop it from getting to the driver page).

If I try it with an Epson 6200, it does the same on the CUPS admin page.

Strangely installing a printer works as expected when doing it through the eBox interface.

EDIT: Just managed to get our Canon iR3245N network photocopier printers working by extracting the ppd file from the official Canon Linux .deb package into the CUPS add printer wizard, and it works! Still have the same problem though as above
