Does Ebox 1.4 support configuration of static NAT?
« on: February 07, 2010, 02:14:58 am »
How do I go about configuring one-to-one static NAT if I have 2 public WAN addresses that needs to be mapped to 2 private addresses, such that any destination packet for each WAN address will be redirected to the corresponding private address, port for port?

Eg. to map 123.1.1.1:80 to 192.168.1.1:80 and 123.1.1.2:443 to 192.168.1.2:443

Thanks !

I don't believe eBox has 1:1 NAT as I remember that being a feature they wanted to put in version 1.2. You could try setting up your DHCP server to statically assign though or go into Static Routes and set them up manually. It might work.

What does the Virtual Interfaces section do under the Network Interface menus for Static methods? There has got to be someway for 1:1 NAT to work right?  If there isn't then I have to test something else to replace the Fortigate :(  I am really enjoying ebox up until I hear of this!  I'll try the static route and fumble with the v.interfaces section when I have time.
