emails from remote clients
« on: March 30, 2015, 10:09:50 am »
hello,

can someone tell me how to do to send/receive emails from remote clients?

i have an external server with an app installed on it. when something it happen, this app must send emails. tried to setup this scenario, but always got

server postfix/smtpd[....]: warning: unknown[xx.xx.xx.xx]: SASL PLAIN authentication failed:

when i was using ubuntu without zentyal i did some settings on postfix and everything worked great.

how can i do now?

p.s. using 2 separate machines with diff public ip's it's a must, so try to give some good advice... :)

p.s. 2: please try to not give advice like " you need to purchase a supported edition", as first i must to try if zentyal IS or ISN'T a good distro for me....

regards.

Hi klinutzu,

You wrote: "when i was using ubuntu without zentyal i did some settings on postfix and everything worked great."
You can make the same modifications by editing the postfix main.cf file, here: /etc/postfix/main.cf
