Running Applications
« on: September 10, 2014, 11:31:51 pm »
Very new to Zentyal and Linux in general. I'm trying to add a new hard drive to my Zentyal server to be used for shared files. I would like to run gparted to configure the disk. I've installed gparted from the command line, but whenever I click the icon under Preferences, nothing happens. The same thing goes for any of the applications that I've installed. I am able to start the applications through the command line, but would like to be about to do the same with the GUI.

I have confirmed that my account is in the sudo group, so I'm confused as to why my account does not seem to be able to run applications.

I am getting confused. Do you have a problem with Zentyal Server or with Ubuntu ? Are you able to provide any logs ?
