3.4 installer does not work!! DVD and USB installer broken.

Downloaded the ISO and burned to DVD.  The installer hangs at the language screen.  Same when made into USB key.

The Zentyal 3.3 installer works without issue on the same 3 servers tested.  All servers are 64-bit AMD processors.  I am not sure if this is the link to the issue but it seems like too big a coincidence.

Please sort it out, I will be willing to post any logs you require.

I encounter the same problem with version 3.4 using USB boot unbuntin or Linux USB Creator

Did you check the MD5 checksum of the downloaded ISO?

I believe this is a bug with the version of ubuntu used

It should work with a PS/2 keyboard (I only have usb ports :-( )

Something about ochi driver not in the iso installer

I don't think there are any workarounds to this

I have had the same issue while attempting to perform the install on 2 Dell 64 bit AMD machines.  After selecting install from the main menu, I see the menu asking me to select my default language, but at that moment, the keyboard becomes non-responsive.  A weird trait I noticed is that the numlock light goes out, and if I push the numlock button, the numlock light comes on for a brief moment, then turns right back off.  However, I was able to perform a successful install using the same DVD to two Dell Intel based servers, no keyboard problems at all.  In all cases, I used the same USB keyboard as none of my machines have PS2 ports.

Hopefully someone will figure out the cause of this soon, as I would love to upgrade from 3.2 to 3.4.

Hello, i found a solution and like a share.
In short: "try a usbhub". Maybe it doesn´t work for every system.

My system is a "HP ProLiant MicroServer".
So, First i tried replugging into the 7 usbports (even the onboard one).
Tried several different Keyboard models.
And checked all available Kernel Boot Parameters.
Nothing works.

Then i plugged a cheap USB Hub in between, the numlock light came up and keyboard works.
And after the installation, its working without the hub.

Can´t explain why, it cant be a USB3 Hardware issue cause the system only has USB 2.0. 
Maybe you have an explanation why this happens?


Would be nice to hear if this works for you, on other systems.

The USB hub trick worked for me, thanks, got the green num-lock light.
