here's my used space:

I just can't understand this! My backup size shouldn't have filled all the space, so why the disk was full???

If you set your backup to keep 4 last backup, f.i., then you will not have enough disk space, for sure.

Incremental is never incremental forever (restoring would be a nightmare and very risky).
Incremental mean that you perform, let say, one full back-up on Sunday night, then one incremental backup each day of the week but then, next Sunday, you perform one full back-up again.  This aside, you may decide to keep one, two or more full back-up...
Incremental or differential is also something to distinguish in order to defined the right save/restore strategy  ;)

Christian again thank you for explaining;
in fact, I had a setup for weekly full backups and retain backup no older for a month.
Bitter lesson learned.  :D
