How can you load new NIC modules

I have 3 PCI Express Intel NIC cards, 1 PCI NIC, and 2 onboard PCI Express cards. Ebox's Ubuntu server distro only see's the 2 onboard NIC's and the PCI NIC. If I toss in the Ubuntu 9.04 iso the installer for 9.04 see's all the cards. Is there anyway to get the PCI Express cards to show up? The chip is WG82574L.
