[SOLVED]: Error 2000 on Install
« on: December 20, 2013, 08:54:12 pm »
Downloaded the 3.3 server directly from zentyal.org  Three times actually!
When I try to do a fresh install (delete all data on drive), it pops up Error 2000 on Sector xxxxxx

Burned the CD four times on two different machines.

Was able to install CentOS just fine on the machine so I know it isn't that drive.

Thoughts?  Corrupted ISO from the site?

Did you checksum the ISO using the MD5 value from the Zentyal download site?

Just a thought.

Good call.  The MD5 are not matching.  I have downloaded this on two different machines over two completely different networks. Has anyone been able to download the iso-64bit and get it to work successfully?

Downloaded new ISOs from SourceForge and the MD5 was perfect. Installed without issue.

I'm currently experiencing the same issue. There hasn't been a single source I've tried to download this ISO from that hasn't been corrupted or incorrect MD5 Value.  >:(

I've tried most of the US mirrors and straight from the Zentyal website (both 32 / 64 bit) on multiple computers and internet connections.

chrisg:: what mirror did you download from on sourceforge?

No MD5 match on either the direct download link at Zentyal (twice) nor the sourceforge link provided by ChrisG). Only been trying the 64 bit (zentyal-3.3-amd64.iso). Will continue trying the various mirrors (though mirrors, by definition, SHOULD have exactly the same file and MD5 sum).

I wouldn't consider this actually "solved" if one out of many downloads actually works.

Edit--
Got it by copying download link and using wget instead of clicking in a browser. I did make a couple other changes trying other things so can't be sure this is what did the trick (or maybe I finally just got lucky?  ??? )
