Configuring ebox firewall to accept FQDN instead of an IP
« on: September 08, 2009, 06:22:10 pm »
Any help is much appreciated...

I've read through the ebox documentation and haven't been able to find any information on being able to configure the firewall using a domain name instead of an IP address.

I have two ebox servers, one resides in New York and the other in Pennsylvania. Both are connected through a VPN. The IP addresses that are assigned from the ISP are dynamic. There have been times where the IP address will change and I have to update the firewall to allow the new IP address. Ebox now supports DynDNS, is it possible to create a firewall rule to inspect for a domain name (FQDN) instead of a IP address?
