how it works? good Question, which only the zentyal devs can answer. I can only tell that freedns is a much more reliable ddns.
I think I won't mark this as solved, remote.zentyal.me is still not working correct

That's consistent behavior, when I restart DNS from the Zentyal admin interface the site becomes available for a few seconds.
Subsequent queries just time out "DNS Lookup failed".

Seems there is something wrong indeed, but still no clue where to search.

Cheers.

Hoping to get a clue, searching the logs I found this error:

Code: [Select]
Oct 27 20:11:48 myserver named[7675]: error (unexpected RCODE SERVFAIL) resolving 'ns1.zentyal.me/A/IN': 199.7.83.42#53
Oct 27 20:11:48 myserver named[7675]: error (unexpected RCODE SERVFAIL) resolving 'ns2.zentyal.me/A/IN': 199.7.83.42#53

It may help to diagnose the issue.

Cheers.

The latest Zentyal Cloud update seems to have solved the issue.
Perhaps the OP can verify this?

Cheers.
