[Can't reproduce] Can't connect to Web Interface
« on: October 03, 2013, 02:34:38 pm »
Hi everybody,

I'm currently trying Zentyal to see if it could be a solution for our small clients.

On a new installation in our network , I installed these modules :
- Samba (which asked for AD)
- AD
- DNS
- DHCP
- VPN

After the VPN installation, i was sometimes unable to connect to Web Interface (and i am disconnected from SSH too). Apache2 restart doesn't fix it. Init 6 "fix" it for a random time. Uninstalling VPN didn't fix it. I didnt see anything particular in logs (in /var/log/zentyal/*).

When i can access to web interface, it's slow (sometimes 20 s for a page).

System :
Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS (GNU/Linux 3.5.0-23-generic x86_64)
Iso Zentyal (3.0-2) from Sourceforge

Hello YAdrien,

Welcome to Zentyal Community!

Are you able to start a X11 session ?

i.e.
1) login using SSH (ssh -X user@ip.of.your.zentyal)
2) start firefox (on the remote host)
3) point firefox to https://localhost:<your zentyal port>

Your problem could be related to few possibilities...

Best,

Marcus

Oh sorry, i forgot to say it.

Via X11 and Firefox, I got the same error, with localhost, 127.0.0.1 and LAN ip ; so he doesnt seem to be a firewall or network configuration problem.

I'll close this thread because I had to reinstall and can't reproduce this bug anymore (installed 3.2).
