[SOLVED] zentyal and squid proxy

Hi mates, am new to zentyal. Am using ubuntu server 12LTs 64amd, with squid3 proxy, i want to monitor both my server and squid performance, i have installed zentyal, but miss the configs to intergrate proxy and ubuntu server, is there a way to do this?

thanks for the reply, i want to run squid proxy and Intrusion Detection System on the server, and to monitor how the server is fairing on

Yeah, understood that, but what kind of monitoring would you need?
You could SSH and run a top or htop, or you could open zentyal Administrative Interface and look at graphic on Maintenance, or even install some external squid monitoring tool like one of this list http://www.squid-cache.org/Misc/log-analysis.html

So, as you may see your question is still too general, and you should make it a little bit more concrete if you expect to find a useful answer

Hello:

Are you using GUI or command-line.

Please use GUI for installing modules. If you still have some troubles installing any module, then more information on your procedure would be needed, and perhaps /var/log/zentyal.log would help

Hello kanjah:

The only error I can see on your log is an error when deleting a route to a public IP, so please, make sure these commands succeed before going to the GUI to install the server:

ping -c4 www.google.es
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Once this commands have been executed, then go to the GUi to install any module you would need.

If ping fails, then you have a connectivity issue that you should solve first

hi, thanks for the reply
now i can ping google.com with ease, i have installed the network components dns ntp firewall, sucessfully. I hit a stop when i try to install squid, it say in the zentyal log, i need to configure the firewall, so i tried by adding few web servicesg TCP and UDP protocols by using port 80, DNS protocol by using port 53, and accepting packets from my internal network to the zentyal server, then i save, but still the zentyal, insists that my firewall is not well configured....is there a way around this?
