MS Lync replacement

Hi All,

I am new to Zentyal and this is my first post in this forum.

We are a IT consultancy and we install Asterisk based VoIP platforms to our clients, we have been requested lately if we are able to offer something that can replace MS Lync, which as we all know integrates not only IM messaging but VoIP calls at the same time.

My question is:

by installing Zentyal on a dedicated server on a client network and enabling the Zarafa module would be then able to replace a Lync server and would be able to integrate with an "external" Asterisk server and not having to use the Asterisk module that is integrated within zentyal?
