Connect Outlook to Zarafa on port 237
« on: November 08, 2012, 12:40:20 pm »
**** Sorry I want to write this to the section "Zentyal Server" ****

Hi all,

I have a Zentyal 3.0 Comunity Edition with Zarafa module.
The Outlook can connect to the Zarafa without problems.
I want to use this with an encrypted protocoll so I want to choose on the client side in the Zarafa Outlook Client (7.1.1.37812) the "Enable encryption (HTTPS)" option. If I checked this checkbox the port changed from 236 to 237.

On the Zentyal I do the following:
1) Certification Authority -> General -> I created a new Certificate Authority:
- Organization name: DNS:office.mydomain.com
- Country code: HU
- City: Budapest
- State: Budapest
- Days to expire: 3650
After I click the "Issue" this is shown under the Current Certificate List with yellow background and the state is "valid" - I think this is ok.

2) I go to the Certifitacion Authority -> Services Certificates and I check the "Zarafa Gateway Server" "Enable" checkbox.
3) I click the "Save changes" icon on the right, top side.

After this steps I think I can telnet to the port 237 but I can't.
If i do the following command to the server's command line:
telnet localhost 237

I become this:
Code: [Select]
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused

If I tried to the port 236 (the normal, unencrypted port) the telnet is answer good.
telnet localhost 236
The answer is:
Code: [Select]
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.localdomain.
Escape character is '^]'.

What is the problem? How can I enable the Zarafa SSL function on the Zentyal?

Thanks,
Mono

I too want to connect Outlook to Zarafa, but I am stuck at trying to Create a Certificate Authority.
I go to Certificate Authority -> General
I only see fields for:
 - Common Name
 - Days to Expire
 - Subject Alternative Names

Why do I not see these fields:
- Organization name:
- Country code:
- City:
- State:
- Days to expire:
