Getting trouble with HTTP Proxy restart

I'm trying for "to restrict on uploads" for that I need to modify in squid.conf file. I've modified the squid.conf file which is located at /etc/squid/squid.conf,to effect the changes I'm restarting the HTTP Proxy,whenever I'm restarting the Proxy then my modifications are erased,I'm adding "request_body_max_size 1 MB" in squid.conf file.This line is erasing when I'm restarting the HTTP Proxy,for that what I've to.I'm using Zentyal 2.2

This will be easily solved if you read documentation that is explaining how to customize conf files.
