I didn't even realise I was the installing the Zentyal 2.x beta .iso. I thought that the betas were for 3.x.x aren't they?
Why isn't the beta a 3.x version? is 3.0 viewed as a development in progress, or is it just that there isn't yet a 3.x beta?
Silly me thought that when I ran sudo apt-get update before opening Zentyal admin-webpage I had mistakenly re-added the old repositories and ended up with a 2.x core and extra modules...
Thanks Robb for clearing that up.
I managed to get Zentyal 3.0 to authenticate a WIN7 client, by installing the DNS, NTP and object modules first and configuring them. The NTP needed to synchronise through the internet as well and for some reason the DNS module didn't like me adding a ip address to the host portion, I had to restart the machine to get that error to go away, although I can't remember what it was.
I installed the registry
edit to the WIN7 client but I wonder did I need to?
