Email and Groupware / E-mail catch-all/multidrop box
« Last post by wirdo on November 18, 2019, 04:14:19 pm »
Hi Guys,

We're currently in the process of migrating multiple servers over to zentyal commercial but I'm running into a (hopfully small) issue.
One of the servers is currently picking up all e-mail from info@domain.com and distributes it to all users on the server.

So what I have to configure is: An external POP account that picks up all e-mail from info@domain.com.
Zentyal should then look at the mail, if it's for bob@domain.com it should put it in the mailbox with user bob.

Is this something that is possible?

Thanks.

Yes... The webadmin could be confusing when working with additional domain controlers which have bee promoted to FSMO owners. Read this: https://doc.zentyal.org/en/directory.html#total-migration

The point is that the Domain window in the Zentyal GUI doesn't reflects the changes produced when the controller is "promoted". Don't try to "update" the configuration in this window yourself! Simply, let it be.

If you are talking about the dns-hostname account when authenticates, it is a well known issue. Simply use the command

Code: [Select]
#check it please I'm doing it by heart
sudo samba-tool user setexpiry dns-$(hostname) --noexpiry

I didn't work with your working configuration. In your case I would make a lab before to proceed.

Cheers!

 :)

I use to do it through redirection port and SNAT rules (this is sufficient the most of the times). If needed I think it's easiest to configure Squid (which is used by Zentyal as forward proxy) as reverse proxy too.

Cheers!

Email and Groupware / Zentyal 6.1 - ActiveSync Message to big
« Last post by johan.badenhorst on November 18, 2019, 12:15:23 pm »
I have Zentyal 6.1 installed on Ubuntu 18.04 and since upgrading to 6.1 from 6.0 I am having issues with a select few ActiveSync clients on Android.

When attempting so to send mail with any attachment, I get the message that the email is to big to be sent. Strangely this behaviour is immediate and not after attempting to transmit.

On Outlook 2016 it works 100%.

Any ideas where I might start looking for the issue?

Directory and Authentication / Share a hide folder
« Last post by ricardocenteno on November 16, 2019, 10:56:46 pm »
Hello everyone!
I have some difficulty performing a hidden share using Zentyal. Every time I change the line "browsable = no" in the shares.conf file located in / etc / samba / it seems that the file returns to its original state. I tried to copy the share information and paste it in the /etc/samba/smb.conf file, but when I restart, all the information contained in the file is erased. How do I perform this hidden sharing? The goal is to create the roaming profile without the home folder, for example: \\srv-files\profile_user$ (as done in Windows).
Grateful for the attention.
