OK, let me see if I can help.

Server1 = Current PDC
Server2 = New DC that you are attempting to add to the domain

Realm: This should be your domain. ie example.com
Domain controller FQDN: This should be the FQDN of Server1.  ie. server1.example.com
Domain DNS server IP: This should be the IP of your current DNS server. I'm guessing in your case either Server1 or the internal IP of your ISP router.
Administrator account: This needs to be an account of a user that has rights to add machines to the domain. If Server1 is a Zentyal box make sure that this account is part of the schema admin group.
NetBIOS domain name: This should be the domain without the .com, .org, etc.  For this situation it would just be 'example'
NetBIOS computer name: Name of the new DC you are setting up. ie. Server2

Hope this helps.

Is the account you are using to join the second DC a member of the schema admin group?

Email and Groupware / Re: Mail Log Blank

The mysql password is correct. It lets me in. However, I did check the tables in the  "zentyal" database and they are all empty.

Is there a process that populates the tables in the DB from the log files?

Thanks.

Those are all good thoughts.  I have tried disabling and re-enabling both the mail module and the logs module but neither worked. I have noticed that none of the logs are actually working.  I reviewed the zentyal.log and there are no errors.

I think if no one else has bumped into this issue the only solution left is a reinstall.

Running 5.0.1 development

Is anyone else having an issue with the mail log?  I have been sending and receiving mail but the mail log never populates. I can see the records in /var/log/mail.log but the report in Zentyal never populates.

Antispam/antivirus is such a fundamental basic service, I can't understand why this was removed from the development edition.  Not having that feature makes Zentyal useless.

Zentyal, please readd!

Thanks,
Chad

Thanks so much for the help and guidance.  It was a capitalization issue.  I definitely learned a few new things.

Email and Groupware / Zentyal 5 Spam Filter?

Were the antispam and antivirus mail filters removed from Zentyal 5?

If so what are people using as alternatives?

Thanks

Thanks for the extensive information. I'm still pretty green with Linux  so I really appreciate the help.  I did follow your post and I reviewed the conf files and I can also see that sogo webmail should be at https://server_ip/sogo however it still will not load and I continue to get a 404 error.  I have turned off the firewall to help eliminate variables.  When I check to see what is listening on 443 and 80 this is what I get:

gofast321@wis1:~$ ss -ltpn |grep :443
LISTEN     0      128          *:443                      *:*

gofast321@wis1:/etc/apache2$ ss -ltpn |grep :80
LISTEN     0      128          *:80                       *:*

Just to note, I have not modified anything on this box. I did a plain installation as it comes from Zentyal. It is a domain controller and email server.  The DC and the email is working fine. Only Sogo won't load its webpage.

Email and Groupware / [SOLVED] Where is webmail?
« on: December 16, 2016, 07:31:25 pm »
I'm going to apologize upfront if this is a stupid question but what it the link to webmail on a Zentyal 5.0 box?

I have run Zentyal 4 for a few years and I just setup a Zentyal 5 box. In Zentyal 4 the link to webmail was always https://server_ip/sogo however that does not work in Zentyal 5.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Installation and Upgrades / Provisioning OpenChange
« on: November 29, 2016, 05:11:54 am »
I have 2 new servers both running Zentyal 4.2.2 fully updated.

Server 1
Name: WIS1
Function: PDC

Server 2
Name: WIS2
Function: BDC and Email Server

I have both servers up and running however when I attempt to install the OpenChange module on the email server (WIS2) and I enter a Schema Admin account in the setup I get an error thats states "Error provisioning: Missing user and/or password for provision".

Has anyone seen this before? I have tried a Schema Admin account and I have tried a Domain Admin account and both produce the same error.

Thanks for the help.
