Installation and Upgrades / Bind init.d scipt
« on: November 13, 2015, 02:07:04 pm »
There seams to be a problem with bind package in 4.2.
The init Script is nearly empty.

Bug: https://tracker.zentyal.org/issues/4073

Have a look if dns is running.

If not can you please look into /etc/init.d/bind9 and check if it contains any startup informations?

A roadmap or at least an information whats going on would be nice

Did you enable Webmail on your OpenChange Virtual Domain?

7
I got it running on AWS.

I did set the interface to internal and i think this time I also defined the right gateway (i am not sure if i had done a mistake here last time) ;)

8
I have the same problem on AWS EC2

As soon as you enable the network module it reconfigures the network interface what results in a no longer accessible vm.
I tried 5 different configurations so fare with no positive result.

So if anyone has a solution i would be interested as well.

PS: A similar problem occurs on VPS servers with a 255.255.255.255 netmasks, in this case because it is not possible to configure this netmask in the webinterface.

As I currently have no testing environment, I have to ask if anyone has any experience with Zarafa update
Is it possible to update Zarafa on Zentyal 3.3 with the official Zarafa packages you can finde under http://download.zarafa.com/community/final/7.1/7.1.10-44973/ ?

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal on openVZ
« on: May 28, 2013, 10:37:21 pm »
Hello,
I have a problem with network configuration on a openVZ Server.

I got one interface with one public IP that looks like this in origional configuration without zentyal:

Code: [Select]
venet0    Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
          inet addr:127.0.0.1  P-t-P:127.0.0.1  Bcast:0.0.0.0  Mask:255.255.255.255
UP BROADCAST POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP  MTU:1500  Metric:1
          RX packets:1152760 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
          TX packets:859598 errors:0 dropped:2 overruns:0 carrier:0
          collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
          RX bytes:1321978734 (1.3 GB)  TX bytes:372452047 (372.4 MB)

venet0:0  Link encap:UNSPEC  HWaddr 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00-00
          inet addr:178.254.31.221  P-t-P:178.254.31.221  Bcast:0.0.0.0  Mask:255.255.255.255
UP BROADCAST POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP  MTU:1500  Metric:1

Actually I can't configure a /32 netmask in zentyal webinterface.
Is there any workaround?

In addition, as there is no definition about internal and external network interface, firewall configuration does not behave as expected.
It seems as it some rolled from "Filtering rules from internal networks to Zentyal" and "Filtering rules from external networks to Zentyal" are used.

Can someone help me how to configure Zentyal in this scenario?

THX and Regards

DC
