Hello mateusz,

Sorry that you see it that way. We try to do our best in terms of filtering and getting information from the bugs that get reported, and some times the automatic messages could sound a little bit unpolite specially in a case like yours.

Anyway, I think you are confusing it with our Commercial Support service that is the one that attends you when you are a partner and had paid some licenses. This is done in in support.zentyal.com instead of tracker.zentyal.org.

In the tracker we don't give support to users, for that there is this forum and the goodwill of other users or ourselves whenever we can. The tracker it's intended to be a bug reporting system, where we expect the users to report the bugs and we use it to track those bugs, get information to fix them and check the status of the different versions. So don't expect an immediate response there, except when there is something that it's affecting all of the users.

Sorry again if we give the impression of something different.

So you do not care about community? Did you even see the bug that I have reported or you just pass by?

So you are sending the community the information "**** off buy our products then you will be able to report bugs, and maybe maybe you will get our attention".

There is one thing that I agree. You guys are replacing the M$ services by let's get paid for services.

Well stay in Zentyal 2.2 without support is not an option.

I think I might give up on Zentyal.

1. Samba is still working on GPO so not everything is working. Therefore use the registry entries instead of GPO templates.
2. You are doing this a bit wrong. Do not make a user a Domain Admin as that will cause a massive security issues.
3. Use the security template in GPO to deploy certain security groups to application (you can find that on youtube). Best practice is to create new security group and make a user as a member.

I don't know how does the bug report work (tracker).

Each time we rapport bugs, José Antonio Calvo is waiting for the next version of Zentyal an then write.

Zentyal 3.5 is no longer maintained. The current stable community version is Zentyal 4.0. Please reopen a new issue for 4.0 if you still experience the issue on the new version. Thanks!

How many times I will rapport the same bug. I have raported when it was in 3.4 then 3.5 and now when it is 4.0.

I don't know guys do you have same problem. How am I about to became a partner when even if I report bug nobody from Zentyal is giving a ***** .

Log the bug on that. There is 90% chance that they will accept it as is due to migration from legacy to 3.5 .

Are we going to be able put exchange services on SDC instead of PDC since that realease? I would rather not put such a huge service on my Primary Domain Controller.

Ok, Try to reconfigure samba package using dpkg. Before you do that you need to stop samba service.

If I understand you correctly.

You would like to get to both Servers from outside on one IP address (external)? If you do then you should this more about port forwarding on router.

I am getting confused. Do you have a problem with Zentyal Server or with Ubuntu ? Are you able to provide any logs ?

Ok, therefore go to https://wiki.zentyal.org/wiki/En/3.5/Domain_Name_System_%28DNS%29 there is an instruction how to set A record.

In short:

Add Domain as a zentyal.me .

Then add host as a yourserver name. Try to ping the whole name from another computer that will be able to resolve IP address then add IP address to Host. Thats is all that you need to do.

You are using fine DNS forwarder (one of the secured ones) you may do a research how to request to add A record to into OpenDNS.

Yeap you can count in here for Community Support.

You can log a bug but you will have to have a last version of Zentyal. If you have 3.4 or less then they will close bug ticket.

Ok checked. OpenDNS does not have A record on zentyal.me . So you either set up A record on Zentyal DNS server or change DNS forwarders, Anyway why would you like to get external IP address ? When you are in your company network you should really resolve IP addresses to internal IP addresses not to external ones.
