Installation and Upgrades / Problem with Zentyal 3.0.20 and Clients Windows XP SP3

With this scenario all work fine except: same programas not have execution  permision into samba shares.
If copy this programs to pc client or  uninstall SP3 for windows XP work fine.
Anybody have experience with this iuse?.

It´s posible:
- Update Zentyal 2.0.23 -> 3.0
- Create manually users, groups and shares
- Restore old Samba SID and domain name
and not need change domain and any other information in Xp PC clients?

¿Como? Pues sinceramente no lo sé.
Despues de la actualización automática a la version 2.0.21 empezaron los problemas (como pasa muchas veces) y probando cambios y grabando al final acabó funcionando.
Puede ser que alguno de los pequeños cambios que hice en el firewall o simplemente (como sucede algunas veces) grabando un cambio se actualizan otras cosas.
Siento no poder ser más específico y lo marco como resuelto porque la configuración que indiqué en los anteriores posts es la correcta y a lo mejor puede ayudar a alguien en el futuro.
Un saludo y gracias a los que me ayudaron.

Por otro lado, si a los clientes les dices que tu servidor es un DNS, y después no tienes ningún DNS, es normal que falle.Prueba a desactivar el módulo de DNS y vuélvelo a intentar.

De la documentación entiendo que la definición de dominios es para que resuelva dominios internos, debría resolver los externos. De todas formas, he probado esto y tampoco.

En la salida de nslookup se ve claramente que está utilizando un servidor DNS externo y no Zentyal. Revisa la configuración de DHCP para que use el propio Zentyal y del cliente para que configure el servidor de DNS que indica DHCP.

Si pero primero da un problema de time out hacia el zentyal. Si dejo solo el zentyal como servidor DNS:

    timeout was 2 seconds.Osea que me da time out y no resuelve. No encontrado ningún log del error y creo que he repasado bien el firewall que tampoco arroja ningún log.

Tengo un servidor zentyal que hace de firewall+dhcp+DNS de una pequeña red. Tiene dos interfaces de red una hacia internet y otra hacia la red local.
El problema es que no consigo que resuelva la direcciones que se le piden desde la red local. Sin embargo resuelve perfectamente desde el propio equipo.
Tengo ping desde los equipos al servidor.
Si hago desde un equipo de la red: "nslookup google.es", me contesta:

Configuracion del servidor:
En Network->DNS tengo configurados 127.0.0.1  -  80.58.32.97 (Este es de mi isp)
En Infrastructure->DNS no defino ningún dominio y el modulo está activado.
Y en los clientes la DNS del servidor y del ISP: 192.168.4.3 (Ip del servidor) 80.58.32.97 (Isp)
Aguna idea de cual puede ser el problema?.

Thanks josep. I lost (and you) a lot of time trying to recover the system.
I do not understand that part of the system is configured in ebox and which in the base system.
I'm starting with linux and my knowledge does not go so far.
The easiest is to reinstall.

I need selective restore of module for not overwrite changed informaticon: LDAP, shares, etc.
I think use:

other case, i can restore parcial folders from full backup with:

Thanks for your solution, works well. The unsaved changes is solved.
But that was not the access problem to the administration panel.
I access only thru local and remote terminal, but no web interface. I don´t know how to rebuild the access to the web panel.
Any idea?
Reinstall is required?

Any command line tool for save "unsaved changes" because server send message in remote backup service:
"error : Zentyal backup failed: Configuration backup skipped because the following modules have unsaved changes: sysinfo,network,antivirus,apache,ca,objects,services,software,usercorner,users. The rest of the backup will not be affected"
and Backup success.
It´s posible i lose my https connection because apache have "unsaved changes"?
Nobody can help me?
Reinstall is required?

After install php5 for webserver service I lost access to https control panel.
In remote access run http but no https.
In local, graphical screen get user and password but not enter in administration panel. Return to the login page.
Event sistem send mail with: "error : Zentyal backup failed: Configuration backup skipped because the following modules have unsaved changes: network. The rest of the backup will not be affected" and later "info : Zentyal backup succeeded".
How I can recover https admin panel?

I have same problem with SCP backup versión 2.0.3. and not run this solution.
If I put ":" betwen IP and Dir and press save obtain this message:
Invalid value for target: 192.168.4.6:/backups/. Must be a like 'other.host[:port]/some_dir'
