Title: XP machine can't access shares on Zentyal 7.0
Post by: Barrydocks on April 20, 2023, 11:36:50 am
I have 2 old XP machines that run a legacy application.  I have 2 zentyal servers, one is running 4.2 - all the machines on the network can access the samba shares.  I have one running 7.0 - only the windows 10 machines can access the windows shares.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

Did you downgrade the Samba protocol in your Zentyal 7.0 so Windows XP can use the domain controller module on that server? Below are the parameters I set long ago in the stub smb.conf.mas.

Code: [Select]
## In [global] section

## For Windows XP
server min protocol = NT1
lanman auth = yes
ntlm auth = yes
