Other modules / zentyal 5.x as a DNS server and vCenter server 6.5
« on: June 17, 2018, 01:01:59 am »
Hello all,
When I connect to the vCenter FQDN or IP address on a Web browser, I got an error "server not found".
Though, ping and nslookup (FQDN and IP address) to the vcenter server are successful.
The URL is redirected to:
https://vcenter.mydomain.com/websso/SAML2/SSOSSL?RelyingPartyEntityId=xxxxxxxxxxx
If I add my vCenter address into /etc/hosts, then everything works fine. But this change does not seem to be permanent. I need to do the same steps again if I cannot log into my vcenter server.
Also, I noticed that the option "Enable transparent DNS cache" is greyed out, and I cannot check this box.
My config:
- I have installed Zentyal as a DNS server on Ubuntu 16.04
- Zentyal 5.0 and 5.1.1
Any help on this would be welcome.
Thanks.
Edit: I have added the vCenter ip address under DNS > Domains > Hostnames, and also under Name servers
