No, we will stick to Ubuntu. The only non-free software we use in eBox is some propietary bits that are in the Ubuntu's linux-server  kernel but clean up this is not a priority for us.

What is the difference? gNewSense 2.0 has exactly the same packages as Ubuntu 8.04 except for the kernel proprietary modules and some artwork. It's a question of changing repositories. That's it. The process is exactly the same. With the advantage of having a 100% distro which could go in

I would like to know if the latest ebox (which I understand is based on ubuntu) will be rebuilt to be based on gnewsense so the software in it is 100% free software. ubuntu has some propietary software which is not good for the free software movement.

I am running the same setup as yours bu i cant get my mail to work (cant send or receve via my relay)althou i can send and recieve on my intranet (from one pc to anouther on my network) any sugestions there ???

(when using outlook it pops up smtp error 554 relay access denied) ??? ???

Check on mail authentication on the general tab of the mail configuration. Act accordingly on your mail clients.
