Installation and Upgrades / Windows 7 Mapped home folder (H:)

I am using the Zentyal rc 1. There are some older posts about this, but the problem seems to persist in the new version. Home directories are not automatically mapped. Is there a solution (other than using logon scripts)?

Thanks for that. What does the "administrator rights" check box mean for an ldap user?

What user is needed to allow a windows client to join a domain?

Thanks

I have the exact same issue.

Hi,

I have just installed the latest zentyal rc1. During the install I am asked for a username and password for a new user. I am also asked for the password to use to access the admin webpage.

When I log into the admin page and go to the user section and list users, no users are shown. When I try and create a user with the same name as the one I created during the install, it says that the user already exists.

Could someone please explain where the user is, and also what user the password to access the admin pages is associated with?

Thanks

Marcus

News and Announcements / Re: The new name for eBox Platform is Zentyal!

There is definitely not an obvious way to pronounce this word for a native english speaker, and should probably have been tested with a few of them first, rather than relying on a computer generated pronunciation.

I first pronounced it zen-teee-al

having read the mention of the link to essential .. I then thought was it meant to be zen-chee-al.

Then I thought, is it meant to be zent-yal

The automated  pronunciation says zent-yul ... which I never quite got to on my own!
