Installation and Upgrades / Multiple http proxy
« on: December 28, 2009, 05:58:52 pm »
Hi,
I've a few questions.
I want to set up 3 http proxy. One of them will be for multi wan, and the others will be for only single wan connections. Because, some web sites log out you when the ip address is changed. So, some users don't want to use multi wan proxy. When I use wingate, I had set up 3 proxy service. Multi wan proxy was the transparent proxy. And the other proxy ports had connected with single gateways. So, some users set their proxy settings for single gateway use. But I don't know how can I do it with ebox? Though, I couldn't set up the multi wan feature truely in ebox yet(http://forum.ebox-platform.com/index.php?topic=2506.0). I'm downloading 1.3beta, and I'll try 1.3 beta.
Other question of mine is, Will version 1.3 or above show us the realtime bandwidth usage by users? We need realtime usage graph or info page per user.
Regards.

Installation and Upgrades / How to setup connection teaming?
« on: December 27, 2009, 09:20:43 pm »
Hi,
I've 3 ethernet, two of them are gateways. I added two gateways with "1" weight in the ebox admin page. And I've enabled the "Balance Traffic" option. I've checked external ip address repeatedly in a few minutes. But I had got only one ip address of one of the gateways instead of two different ip address. When I use connection teaming in wingate or winroute in windows, I had two ip address that are belonged with two gateways. Where do I do wrong?
I've changed weight options of the gateways to different, and nothing changed. Also I've tried to use http proxy. Any help'll be appareciated.
Thanks.
Regards.

Hi,
I'm looking for these features:
- Connection teaming over 2 wan(in the other words: load balancing, multihomed, multiple gateways rotation. But I'm not looking for failover feature).
- Bandwidth throttling by MAC address. (I want to set bandwidth limit on some users by mac address, not ip address.)
- Dns relay (Using another dns server. I want to use OpenDNS, and my server's dns will redirect the request to OpenDNS)
- Transparent proxy
- Internet access logging(Logging http web site visits. Which user visits which web site and when)

Has eBox these features?

Regards.
