Title: Join Zentyal as Samba Domain Member ONLY

Hi ,

It is possible to configure zentyal to join to a active directory domain without being Domain Controller? The reason for that is that I would like to setup a CIFS share and setup folder permission and access from My Domain Directory.

I think you can do, but if you need a NAS maybe FreeNAS or OpenMediaVault are better choice

Thank you, I already switched to NethServer. Rock solid based on Centos with Samba4 included.Easy to configure as domain member and not Domain Controller. FreeNAS was also a great product but not for me. The reason is that FreeNAS need at least 8GB ram because of ZFS structure, so the support team of FreeNAS told me to switch to something for a simple share and so I ended up with NethServer
