I wonder if somebody can help me, to set a certain user to belong multiple Organizational Unit in Zentyal 4.2??

Hello foks...

After some years not mess up with Zentyal ( indeed, I stop in 3.2, that one I considere more reliable), I have now a project involved Zentyal 4.2 with SoGo and OpenChange... The project involv Exchange 2007 migration...
So, I go after and installed Zentyal 4.2 as Virtual Machine and for my frustration, I saw that Openchange accounts jut work if the user is in Users Organization Unit...
I heard about a patch for OpenChange that correct this issue....
Somebody can help me?!?!

Boa tarde

Segue tutorial rápido de como integrar o openvpn ao AD do Zentyal 4.x

Instalar o openvpn-auth-ldap:

apt-get install openvpn-auth-ldap

Adicionar no arquivo de configuração do openvpn no Zentyal, a linha

plugin /usr/lib/openvpn/openvpn-auth-ldap.so /etc/openvpn/auth-ldap.conf

O arquivo de configuração do openvpn no Zentyal, fica em /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/openvpn.
Adicione a linha acima no final do arquivo  openvpn.conf.mas

O arquivo /etc/openvpn/auth-ldap.conf, deve ficar assim:

URL       ldap://localhost
BindDN administrator@seu-dominio
Password <Senha do Administrator>
...
...
...
<Authorization>
   BaseDN      "OU=VPN,DC=dominio"
   # User Search Filter
   SearchFilter   "SAMAccountName=%u"

   # Require Group Membership
   RequireGroup   false
...
...
</Authorizarion>


Você deve ter previamente criado o usuário Administrator ou algum outro usuário e colocar ele no grupo "Domain Admins" e "Schema Admins".

Crie também uma OU chamada VPN e coloque os usuários de VPN lá.

Altere também o arquivo /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/openvpn/openvpn-client.conf.mas
Na linha 190, logo abaixo de

;mute 10

adicione o seguinte:

auth-user-pass

Depois disso, é necessário reiniciar o processo do openvpn:

service zentyal openvpn restart

Usuário que já usavam a VPN terão que baixar novamente o arquivo de configuração ou você disponibilizar para eles.

Since Zentyal 4.x do not use OpenLDAP anymore, where can I found LDAP password??

I need it in order to make ldapsearch work against Zentyal users database...

Any light?

Hy

I installed Zentyal 4 and two Internet Link.

I have set the two gateway, like gw-01 and gw-02...

But, often gw-02 has unchecked without any human action!

Somebody has the same problem???

I have Zentyal 4.0.5 work as Domain Controller and Proxy HTTP/HTTPS.
Everything goes fine, how ever, from time to time, Samba crash with the following message:

Hi guys

I have a Zentyal 4 installed here and from time to time, I have this error:

 Could not connect to Samba LDB: connect: Connection refused, retrying. (100 attempts)

And Squid stop to work...


Somebody else have the same issue??

Hello friends...

I start this post wishing Happy New Year for everybody...

Now, the problem!

Today, I get this error on Zentyal 4:

Error output: ERROR: / is world writable!

So, as a result, none of service running properly... Squid, samba, ssh and others services just stuck...

I make some search on google and found out that the problem is a wrong write permissions on "/"

Indeed, when I check "/" filesystem with ls -ld / command, I figure out the is as follow:

drwsrwsrwx 22 root root 4096 Jan  2 11:15 /

I do not have any glue why this happen... I apply last updates from Zentyal apt servers and Ubuntu servers...

Somebody here have the very same problem???

Of course, I was able to fix the problem, fixing the right permission to "/"...

But I do not know the cause of the problem...

Anybody else??

Hello all

I'am with this error, when I try to active Proxy module:

Error creating computer account for Zentyal server: Can't locate object method "_externalServiceKerberosKeytab" via package "EBox::Squid" at /usr/share/perl5/EBox/LDAP/ExternalAD.pm line 661, line 879.

My server is configurated to use External AD server...

Some help please?

Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 4 and Samba

Hi guys

I put a new HD on my server...
It already work ok with Zentyal 4 and Samba, but I needed more HD space, so I put a new HD and format it as ext4 filesystem, and also, of course, mounted it with as following:

/dev/mapper/HOME-Home   /home2   ext4   errors=remount-ro,acl,user_xattr,usrquota,grpquota,acl  0       1

But, when I attempt to create some new directories through web interface, I get error that the directory doesn't exist.
So, I must to enter in Linux box through SSH and use the mkdir command to create every directory that I wanna share in Samba...
I remmember that in previosly version, I do not need to create any directory through SSH... This directory was created automatically...

Is there a bug???

Someone else has the same issue???
