Directory and Authentication / Zentyal 4.2.1.1 - problem with assigning right gid to users
« on: November 26, 2015, 12:06:01 pm »
Since upgrade to zentyal-core:amd64 (4.2.1, 4.2.1.1) on 2015-11-19, we have problem with assigning right gid to our users. By random some users receive users group instead of domain users, so they can't access shares. It was working without any problem before the upgrade.
The only thing that helps is this answer: http://serverfault.com/questions/476086/samba-winbind-user-resolution and right now it is working on cron script net cache flush every minute. Sometimes it doesn't help and is needed restart of the service zentyal samba, but it is not the longterm solution.
Is there any update coming, or should we revert and freeze the update?
Thank you.
EDIT: I have this error occuring every few minutes in /var/log/samba/log.winbindd-idmap which might be a cause and wasn't there before.

string_to_sid: SID is not in a valid format

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Warning - 4.2 may reset all users UID and GID
« on: November 26, 2015, 11:59:49 am »
With 4.2 is something wrong. After update zentyal-core:amd64 (4.2.1, 4.2.1.1) or zentyal-core:amd64 (4.2.1, 4.2.1.1) which was on 2015-11-19 we have problem with idmaps and users are mapping to group users instead of domain users.
This resolution helps:

Right now it works with cron running net cache flush every minute, but that is not longterm solution.
