The default apps works absolutely fine on both android and iOS. It's the Microsoft Outlook app that is the issue if you are able to download that from the Play store and test please?

2
That's very interesting. I've never had a problem when using Outlook on Windows 10 or the default apps on Android or iOS, is there any chance your able to test this with the Outlook app on Android or iOS?

I'm using English also.

I think that the difference between your set up and mine is that you are using IMAP and POP whereas I'm exclusively trying to use Exchange. Receiving mail etc is fine. It's only when it comes to downloading attachments does it not play ball.

Hey. That's absolutely shocking. I can't believe that the support/documentation would be so bad. I've been with free Zentyal since 3.0 and so much has changed I can't see how the portal would be any help whatsoever for a commercial user on 4.2.2.

Anyhow I did try the cert on android and it didn't help. I can't really comment on WP but I think I did read somewhere that the WP needed the cert.

Unfortunately after all the things I have tried with new accounts etc it still hasn't resolved the issue. In my case I'm putting it down to SOGo mainly due to the fact that it is listed as a bug fixed in 2.3.8 and 3.0.1. The result may well be different for the OP using a WP.

I will try forcing update and upgrade as you say, and if I have any luck getting it working I'll report back.

Thanks for the advice

Yes, ActiveSync is enabled. Other than upgrading which i have not been able to do fully without issue I really am at a loss of how to sort this on Zentyal. It seems that the Zentyal team may have disappeared so i'm not even hopeful that updates will come along in the future.

That may be the difference between setups then, i am trying to (and i assume OP is too) use the Exchange functionality rather than IMAP and POP. In that respect, this is where i assume that an upgrade to 3.x is necessary.

The potential fix i linked earlier for older versions seems to be for 2.3.8, but Zentyal uses 2.3.4. I cannot seem to locate the file that the fix refers to so i assume that this was not something included in 2.3.4. If i am wrong and the SOGoActiveSyncDispatcher.m file does actually exist i would really appreciate if someone could advise where it would be, as i believe that this may resolve both mine and the OP's issues.

You are right but @klinutzu has Zentyal 4.xx and the SOGo version it's OK, no need SOGo v3.xx

That is very strange, did it work for you straight away? Also, are the accounts you are using set via IMAP or Exchange?

I have tried using the MS Outlook app numerous times, even on brand new accounts and on each occasion it has not allowed me to download attachments. I am running 4.2, and the only way i ever got this working in a way was to force an upgrade to 3.x (i wouldn't recommend doing this as it seems to break other things, if there is a good way to do the upgrade I'd definitely be interested).

I think its important to note however, that it does work flawlessly for me using the in-built default Android mail app, but does not work using the MS Outlook app. I even had MS support on this and they could not identify what the issue is. I also have it working flawlessly using Outlook on PC, iPad Mail etc. I cannot say for BB or WP. It seems from my point of view that the issue is restricted to the usage of Outlook or Gmail apps only, on both Android and iOS.

I did a little research on this a while back as I couldn't download attachments in the Outlook app on Android, it seems that Sogo in Zentyal is an older version and the issue was fixed in version 3.x.

Looks like there might be a possible fix for older versions, though I'm not sure what version Zentyal is running, nor how to apply this fix

Hi Julio

Awesome work in getting RADIUS back into Zentyal, this was one of the main reasons i was looking at possible alternatives as my firewall requires it to authenticate VPN users (can't use AD).

It all seems to work brilliantly, the only issue i have found is that if i set it to authenticate Domain Users, it fails everytime. The user i am testing with is a Domain Admin and it works if i select that or All Users, but never under Domain Users. I have added another user who is not a Domain Admin in case this was the issue and the result is the same.

Also, do you know if it is possible to use MSCHAP? I cant seem to figure that one out either.

Thanks again for your work on this.

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Build HTTP Module
« on: May 23, 2015, 10:42:00 am »
Hi Guys

It seems you are having more luck than me, however im trying to do the radius module.

Ive never built a package before and i dont understand how to do it using the guide at https://wiki.zentyal.org/wiki/Building_and_maintaining_a_contrib_Zentyal_module.

Any chance one of you could provide me with some guidance as to how to get to the building stage? ive cloned the repository, added the source to sources.list and and did the apt-get update/install.

Then it says Move to the specific module that you want to build and run but i dont get how to do that? is it through git?

Any help you could give really would be appreciated.

UPDATE:

I have now managed to get windows to upload the driver, turns out that it was a write permission error, though as stated before i thought the purpose of the SePrintOperatorPrivilege was to allow write to the print$ directory. A chmod fixed this part of it anyhow.

However, once the Add Printer Wizard goes to finish the upload, i get:

"Unable to install <printer>,Type 3 - User Mode, x86 driver. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000001f)."

Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this?

EDIT:

Managed to get a driver uploaded!

The steps I have taken to enable me to upload drivers are:

sudo chmod 777 /opt/samba4/var/print
sudo chmod 755 /opt/samba4/private/sam.ldb.d/ (getfacl on this shows that the original permissions are 750, make sure to change this back as i read something by the samba team that this should not be changed to allow all access! http://samba.2283325.n4.nabble.com/Samba-4-DC-and-member-server-rfc3207-winbind-printing-asynchronous-I-O-Problems-and-Fixes-tp4656782p4656783.html)

Hi All

Sorry if this a repeat of something however I have been googling literally all night and cannot find anyone with the exact same problem.

Basically I have followed the guides at https://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=5395.0 and https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba_as_a_print_server (making allowances for the fact that i am using both Vista and Win7) however on each machine, i select the driver i want to upload, but when it gets to the point of uploading it comes up with the error:

"An error occured while copying file <filename>

Cannot copy file to the destination directory.

Click Retry to retry the operation or Cancel to"

All my printers are set up in CUPS (using the linux drivers available from respective manufacturers) and appear in the Printer Sharing module within the webadmin. Some of the results i came across suggested access issues with print$ share, which seems to be confirmed when i try changing the ACL within the windows environment as suggested in the Samba Wiki guide, this results in an 'Access Denied' error.

I also granted rpc rights to SePrintOperatorPrivilege but this also did not work, however i believe this is supposed to allow write acess?

As a Domain Admin, i would have presumed that access is already allowed for Domain Admins to the print$ share, and the XP guide makes no mention of anything to the contrary.

I really have tried all that I can think of but still to no avail, and I would be grateful to anyone who would be able to shed some light on how i can get this running so that i can upload the necessary drivers.

FYI, i am currently running 3.2. If anymore info is needed to assist with anything please let me know.

Thanking you in advance.

David
