Title: Logging
Post by: tigerman on April 05, 2014, 11:26:36 am
I am trying to resolve a problem whereby I can't get Zentyal to join an existing Samba 3.2.6 domain and a friend has asked me to give him a Level 9 log.

I have edited /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/samba/smb.conf.mas and rebooted but it does not seem to be logging - what should I be doing?

root@zentyal:~# grep log /usr/share/zentyal/stubs/samba/smb.conf.mas
    log level = 9
    log file = /var/log/samba/samba.log

Helo tigerman:

Has got /etc/samba/smb.conf with such log level?

Does testparm report any error after restarting the module?
