you can use exchange on your phone / tab when setting the webserver port to 443 and the zentyal port to 444 (or anything else). your firewall should port forwarding to zentyal-server:443 and then you can use your phone with external ip and ssl (default for activesync).
No need to use carddav and caldav.

Maybe we should think about getting everything in VM´s . Then we have a vm for gateway and one for zental.
IP Fire looks simple to use. But should we wait till 4.0 is ready to test so that we can see if it will work together?
I didn´t used those gateways till now, because a fritzbox has done a good job till now, but when it´s simple why not to change.

I don´t understand why we don´t have 443 as standard for active-sync and anything else as default for zentyal webadmin. Also sogo himself should be used with https.
I think this is maybe a bug, because i can configure what i want on webadmin in system/web services it seems not to affect anything. Or why can we define here a standard for SSL and non-SSL ?
I am not sure if this is really a proxy problem, maybe also a dns / hosts problem, because when i call my SOGo adress it switches after userlogin from 192.168.0.10/SOGo to https://zentyal-serv.domain.local/SOGo/so/tester1/Mail , same when i directly try over https://ip/SOGo
Maybe it a vpn problem because i have this over vpn. I know that there is something like NAT which prevents using names instead of ip adresses. But nothing more, my knowledge isn´t good in this area. I uses all over the time ip adresses over vpn and not names.

Did you change the port from the webserver ? Because exactly the same problem i got when changing the webserver to port 443 for getting active sync working with ssl.
So i can now access active syn with ssl from external www but sogo isn´t working anymore locally after login. normally sogo is not https, but now i will be redirectet from http://192.168.0.10/SOGo to https://zentyal-serv.local/SOGo/...
after i log on.
I am searching for a solution, because this can´t be wanted.

Auch wenns schon alt ist, auch aktuell kann man die Installation von USB Stick nicht durchführen. Möglicherweise liegt es auch an meinem 128GB Stick, egal was ich nutze (LILI oder Unetbootin) schon der Test der CD ergibt fehlerhafte Dateien. An eine Installation damit ist gar nicht zu denken. Warum erschließt sich mir nicht, was soll schon beim kopieren der Daten aus der Iso beschädigt werden?
Die Iso selbst ist schließlich funktionsfähig.
Ich habe es nun drangegeben und brenne doch eine DVD.

« on: August 13, 2014, 06:56:24 pm »Just a thought but does fetchmail need to deliver direct to the mta rather than just passing them smtp?with duplicates i mean that every existing mail will be cloned / copied again and again. So i have the messsage not 1 times, it exists on the webmailer again and again. they looks similar, but when you look nearer you see, that its and bounce from MTA with the same mail.
That way it knows what are duplicates?

I can´t see that anyone has done a bug report about it. i reactivated the old one under https://tracker.zentyal.org/issues/455

Sorry about having no time momentally. I will give you some screenshots. My df.eu mail account has normally around 200 Mails. Now after a few days (with shutdown by night) it exploded to over 1800
and i get bounce messages from no-ip.com...
Break is maybe the wrong word for it.
But i did earlier in 3.4 a bugreport. It was nearly the same problem, but with a littel difference in settings.
today i say don´t delete mails but didn´t activate collect mails. Last bug report i had collect mails activated and don´t delete mails.
the reason is i don´t trust momentally the zentyal system and so the isp mail store is my mail backup

just flag the checkbox in you mail page and configure it per user
(but it seems that does not begin to download your email, i don't see them in my SOGo/openchange webpage)
Yes i agree, its back. But dont use it, it will brake your mail and flood it with endless duplicated mails!!!

The user from SOGo (internal mail adresse), where i log in WebIF, or the external mail adresse? i tried both ones and surely without ssl. No connection possible.
With sogo-activesync i have a connection, but only for 1 time sync, next day i get no sync anymore. Calender doesn´t work also, no errors but calender entries are unvisible and not syncronised anywhere i enter them.
so when you write user@domain.lan this means the internal email adresse for me. my external looks like my_realname@domain.com.

I am not sure if zentyal did a mistake, but external mail can be activated again and in users you can configure it. But editing is not possible due to a missing user corner...

mostly i agree with you. But one pint of view more is that we are speaking of a sbs replacement. Furthermore we talked about sbs2003 (thats what i used further) i am not sure in what direction as replacement 4.0 should be.
And we also have an alternative in Univention Corperate Server. Not only in Clear OS. UCS is much more feature rich and extensible. Maybe nearer on a modern Version of Microsofts last SBS as Zentyal will be.
On the other hand, ucs is only free for 5 users. zentyal is totally free.
For me it seems to be, that the development team has been reduced, and the time line is too short for what they want to achive.
So contribute addons is a nice way (like ucs also do) but lets have a look here in the forum. I am not sure, who from us could do this? the activity level in beta testing is really low, i thing for addons it won´t be better. Lots of new user, and less advanced ones.
I hope one missing thing will comes up, thats the backup of mail store. Could we do this with backula? Backula is also used in UCS.

Das sollte gar kein manueller weg sein. In der Konsole (manuell) sieht er ganz anders aus. Um auf eine neue Base zu wechseln braucht man do-release-upgrade und für zentral denke ich muss auch noch die apt Quelle bearbeitet werden.
Übrigens vergiss mein posting im Link, ich habe meine virtuellen Maschinen verwechselt und gar kein upgrade gemacht, in war bereits in der 3.5 ... Sorry für die Verwirrung
