As i see, we use openssl as well. We need to update the libary due to this security related bug:

it seems to be a dangerous bug.
As we can see, openssl gets over Ubuntu an Update but its not 1.0.1g ...
So i think, with the next update, we will get 1.0.1.g

activesync support should basically work, but there need to be some modifications to apache? I dont´t understand what i need to do. Maybe i better need to wait that on zentyal labs the howto will appear?

- start with a fresh installation from daily 3.4 build
- i choose only one network card and basic packages incl. openchange and openchangemail (see on screenshot)
- do the first settings
- at the end of settings you will see that the webserver isn't able to start.

Hi,
did someone looked, if he has a zarafa package in 3.4 beta? I dont have it in the iso build from 25.02 and also not after updating it.
I hope this is only a bug or not yet merged, or should this mean, that zarafa will not longer be supported with 3.4 ?

Installation and Upgrades / [solved] zarafa community outlook connector, no connection

Hi,
maybe that there has changed something? I can´t establish a connection to my zarafa community server from outlook 2003.
i installed in outlook the plugin from here http://download.zarafa.com/community/final/7.1/7.1.8-43801/windows/
i install on zentyal "apt-get install zarafa-licensed" and i still can´t connect.
i changed in etc/zentyal/zarafa.conf the licensed from on to yes. Restartet server but still no connection.
is it still nessesary to change the server_bind like explainded here? http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?action=post;quote=42066;topic=9770.0;last_msg=42099
Because i can´t see this option in zarafa.conf.
Some suggestions?

I still be unable to get active sync working with android 4.3 and ios 7 (iphone). I am wondering what am i doing wrong. My sbs2003 is working fine and had no problems in configuring.
i didn´t find a clear answer if it is possible with openchange or zarafa. With openchange i mean to know, that it depends on sogo, but sogo is only partially integrated in zentyal 3.3 .
So can someone give me an answer, what groupware i must use for both on zentyal togehter? I need to use mail, calender, contacts, todo lists.
And maybe a short explanation for the correct settings in Android or IOS.

Installation and Upgrades / [solved] dns error, forwarding is not working

i am a real beginner, so maybe a simple thing, but anytime i install anything wich needs the dns server modul makes my dns resolve broken.
I use zentyal in a kvm vm with one passtroughed network card (so its working native). my network/dns points to fritz.box wich is my router with dhcp and dns server (this is what i don want to change at this moment)
in infrastructure/dns i defined my router's ip 192.168.0.1 as forwarder (i also tried my isp dns server) and a domain domainexample.local
but it's still not working. no ping to a name adresse and i can 't open any webpage on my zentyal server, no apt-get. inside zentyal it gives me in tools a "network unreachable".
i have no idea left.
Remember, bevor i install dns package everything is fine.
Hopefully someone has an idea?

wo setze ich an, wenn ich mit Zarafa beim aktuellen zentyal 3.3.4 keinen Webzugriff auf Zarafa bekomme? Weder http(s)://192.168.0.x/webaccess noch /webapp können eine Seite aufrufen.
Zarafa läuft aber, über Android bekomme ich Zugriff auf Mails, wenn auch nicht mit ssl.
Ich habe nicht den Webmailer installiert, da der ja mit Zarafa kollidiert.
Edit: http://serverip/webapp geht sehr wohl. Aber die Reihenfolge beim Setup wohl wichtig. webaccess ist älter und scheint nicht mit dabei zu sein.

German / funktioniert die Einbindung von IPad und IPhone in Groupware ? Bei mir nicht

Hallo,
Auf meinem Android 4.3 und Exchange bekomme ich über die Groupware zarafa einen Account hinzugefügt der auch funktioniert. Leider nur ohne ssl. Unter meinem IPad funktioniert das leider gar nicht. Es kommt immer ein Authentifizierungsfehler. Soweit ich weiß erwartet IOS SSL verbindungen, könnte es damit zusamenhängen?
Bzw wieso funktioniert ssl grundsätzlich nicht mit zarafa?
Unter Openchange habe ich es überhaupt nicht hinbekommen. Android akzeptiert mit Sicherheitswarnung die SSL Anmeldung, sagt dann aber auch Authentifizierungsfehler. Bei IOS komme ich mit Openchange gar nicht weiter.

German / Emails werden unendlich oft abgeholt, egal ob pop3 oder imap

Hallo,
ist es normal dass weder Zarafa noch Openchange in der Lage, ist beim Nutzen eines externen Connectors die EMails auf dem Mailserver zu belassen ohne diese danach unendlich oft nochmals abzuholen?
Ich habe es nun sowohl mit pop3 und imap (alles ssl) probiert und immer eingestellt, das die Mails beim Abholen nicht gelöscht werden und gelesene auch abgeholt werden dürfen.
Die folge davon ist, dass der Mailserver nach einem halben Tag aus 30 Mails >1000 werden läßt. Alles natürlich doppelt und dreifach.
Sicherlich kann ich das verhindern, indem ich die Mails beim Abholen löschen lasse, aber wozu gibt es die Option, wenn sie nicht funktioniert und eigentlich fand ich das praktisch, auch noch den Webhoster Webmailer nutzen zu können.

Installation and Upgrades / what are the nessesary steps to get openchange working

Could please give me someone the nessesary steps in right order to get a openchange installation working?
Wanted:
- Webmailer with mails (imap) and calender, to do
- integration of outlook 2003 and 2010
- no open ports only vpn for externel access
- Like in SBS2003, my emails should be send over my domain hoster (act as a relay, correct?)
What i have done till now:
- added a domain example.local
- added a user of this domain example.de with the same password like email address
- activated webmailer
- edit mail-server settings and added my imap smtp server like imap.example.com:465 and user and passwort with login. But after that i can´t send mails any more ?!?
What is working:
- i receive emails
- i can send emails
What i don´t understand, problems:
- why does it work without giving any imap settings to the system, expect smtp
- what do i have to do with smarthost configuration? I thing its nessesary, but when i edit it, it doesn´t work for sending mails
- why do i get duplicated emails? Many of them i have 4-5 times
- Where is the calender and todo list? Does this not exist in webmailer? Is this only given in zarafa?

Installation and Upgrades / [solved] can´t see a created user in LDAP tree

In my zentyal 3.3 installation, witch should be used for openchange i can´t proceed because every user i create will not appear in the LDAP tree. Thats strange and i didn´t find the reason.
Like in dokumentation http://doc.zentyal.org/3.3/en/directory.html i enabled PAM in LDAP and i activated openchange account in default user settings.
Then i try to create an user, but after creation without error, i can´t see the user in section users! I'm going crazy, what am i doing wrong?
Only one difference i notice is, that i have no modul configuration field. Captive portal i didn´t installed, but the mail account should be there. Or not?
Maybe a a really stupid beginner question, hopefully someone help me.

Installation and Upgrades / First configuring for primary using zarafa

Hi,
I want to use for my home server zentyal as an replacement for my really old SBS2003 Server.
Therefore i have a Setup with zentyal 3.3 in an VM on KVM with Ubuntu 12.04.03 as Host. Setup and networking is running.
But i think i had enabled to many modules on installation which are unnecessary for my needing and now I am running into trouble with setting up zarafa. (i enabled nearly everything
)
One year earlier, I tried Univention UCS CT Edition, but without ct´s setup guide i think it was to difficult for setting up, although it worked after many hours in trouble search. There has been to many setup jobs from console (for pop3 collector) without understanding what I did. I like gui frontend (sorry i´ve been to long a microsoft technican) much, and i think zentyal together with ubuntu is more common for me.
What i minimal need in this installation is:
- zarafa for exchange replacement, no data import, only 3 mail addresses with imap or pop3 with my own email domain.
- Domain Controller
- maybe as fileserver (not sure if not a second vm with freenas will be easier for my needing), I need
- no firewall, routing or vpn nedded, zentyal runs behind my AVM Fritzbox Cable Router and this one is doing everything very easy and well. It´s also used for VPN.
My searching didn´t find a usefull setup guide for using zarafa. I can´t distinguish what connector i should use, because i found two of them, one from zarafa and one from zentyal. Next i wasn´t able to setup my users, because my primary user torsten is used by setting up zentyal as admin user. The group and user menu has changed on 3.3, so all i found was different (especially some youtube tutorials for user setup)
Anyone can help me with hints for selecting correct modules on setup and how to set up zarafa.
My skills are good for microsoft and fairly well on ubuntu, i use ubuntu as a vdr server. I work as an IT service technician.
