Installation and Upgrades / Port 80 redirect to readynas
« on: February 22, 2013, 04:06:59 pm »
I have a Netgear ReadyNAS and wish to access the webshare via the net. I would like my external ip address to point to the readynas. Easy enough right, just forward port 80 to the internal ip address of the ReadyNAS. The problem is that there is a forward slash involved. The page I need to access is http://<internal ip of readynas>/webshare.
How to I redirect port 80 to <internal ip of readynas>/webshare

Installation and Upgrades / [Solved] VPN to mapped drive
« on: July 31, 2012, 03:32:12 am »
Hello all!!
I have a PC running Zentyal 2.2 as a Gateway/Firewall/VPN server.
The VPN is 192.168.160.0/24 with tap1 interface on 192.168.160.1
the lan is 192.168.1.0/24. I have this network advertised to the vpn.
I can connect to the VPN with out issue and am assigned the ip of 192.168.160.2
Now here is the problem.
I wish to connect to a mapped drive on the 192.168.1.0/24 network. I can not ping any of the 192.168.1.0 ip address nor browse them on the network. any thoughts on how I might be able to access the resources on the 192.168.1.0 network? I have the drives mapped as such \\NAS200\Disk1 The client is running Windows 7.

Installation and Upgrades / [Solved] FTP to Network Attached Storage
« on: July 22, 2012, 05:05:37 am »
I have a Linksys NAS200 that I use at home. I have a Zentyal Box setup as a Gateway, firewall between my modem and network. The Zentyal is installed on a PC
I am trying to figure out how to still allow FTP clients to connect to the NAS through Zentyal. I have forwared port 21 to my nas' ip address but the client tries to connect to the Zentyal FTP Server. I disabled the Zentyal FTP Service and now I get the error "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server"
So I tried a non standard port number for the NAS and forwarded this port to both eth0 (external) and eth1 (internal) and I just get the error "Could Not Conect to Server"

Installation and Upgrades / [Solved] Zentyal as a Firewall with Wireless Router
« on: July 20, 2012, 09:00:26 pm »
I have been reading through the posts and the Zentyal Documentation but I have not found a solution to the setup I hope to use.
Cable Modem (ISP) > eth0:::Zentyal:::eth1 > Cisco E4200 Wiress Router > Switch > Lan
Basically I want to use the Zentyal server as a Firewall and VPN Server. I use a wireless Router and wish to continue to use it rather than buy a second AP.
I think what I need to do is set eth0 as External WAN with DHCP from the modem
eth1 should be static, let's say 192.168.1.1
The router's default address is 192.168.1.1, to me this would be a conflict, should I change the router ip or change eth1 and set up a default route pointing to eth1. Since the Cisco Router has DHCP I would not need to configure that in the Zentyal Server.
I have Zentyal 2.2 installed on a stand alone box
If anyone else has set up something similar or can help with this I would be so very tremendously grateful.
