Hello everyone there is any way to make zentyal to use by default memberuid in the groups attributes like use to do it in version 2.2
i create this scope and work in previous version on postfix -zentyal 2.2
nacional_server_host = 127.0.0.1
nacional_server_port = 389
nacional_bind = no
nacional_timeout = 5
nacional_search_base = ou=Groups,dc=xyz,dc=net
nacional_query_filter = (&(|(cn=CorreoSN))(memberUid=%u))
nacional_result_attribute = cn
if the user was a member of the group it should give me back the groups that he belong to and with that i can create classes for postfix to check certain parameters, also if any one knows how to get the same result in this new version i will be pleased to hear it. Installation and Upgrades / figuring out squid-external [SOLVED]

Hello everyone i am trying to give to zentyal 3.0 some feature from Zentyal 2.2 since now through GUI HTTP-Proxy Access Rules no longer allow to add user control inside a network object 
(which is a roll back isn't ? ) i manage already to achieve that. But i still unable to set my parent proxy, in squid.conf there is a parent already :
cache_peer localhost parent 3130 0 no-query proxy-only login=*:nopassword
and then this line :
# force clients to use squid-external
never_direct allow all
So I thought that whatever configuration it should be made in squid-external an so i just add a minor modification from this:
cache_peer 192.168.250.12 parent 1080 0 no-query no-digest
to this in squid-external
cache_peer 192.168.250.12 parent 1080 0 no-query no-digest default login=PASS
but my parent keep on denied every request
however if i put that same line in squid.conf work without a problem
so, can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong here ? Thanks for your time and effort.Regards

After some tweaks to make all sound file work properly in zentyal 3.0 core 3.0.17 voip3.0.1 i am unable however to get a connection to any extension created so far after some debug all i can find is:

Installation and Upgrades / [SOLVED] Lost web interface access

Hi everyone I have lost my access to the web interface of zentyal 2.2 so far it seems like there is no other problem the rest of the service are working just fine including the webserver module. i have set my admin interface to listen thought port 2442 and that is ok i tested with a telnet consult and is working just fine.
So far what i got is this:
sudo netstat -tlnp | grep apache
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:443 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 1459/apache2

Hello guys i need rotate my postfix log but when i do so then the log parsing of zentyal stop working until i restart the OpenVZ any idea how could i restart this daemon by it self and not the entirely machine. Thanks

Hello everyone i am using zentyal 2.2-1 version and so far so good but i have 2 inconsistency here with the usercorner first:
The Retrieve mail for external account options; i assume that if it is unselected this options is unavailable however the possibility to mess around remain in the usercorner. Why? is a bug?
Second:
If a set some password policy like the "minimun legth" to 5, this is override trough the usercorner and let user set a password of 3.
Someone can tell me if this is a bug? should be reported, or is not conceived to work like i said? Regards and thanks for all you work.

So here i was using mailman until yestarday and after a update today from zentyal-mail 2.2.1 among other zentyal-stuff well the service stop delivering mail correctly i use this http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php/topic,6671.0.html and work just fine with no subdomain just @mydomain.xyz and i was about to reply thishttp://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=8364.0 for the community doc creation can anyone helpme with this.Thank for the time and your work.
And this is how zentyal was doing thing at firts and everthing was ok
test@mydomain.xyz>, relay=local, delay=1.2, delays=1.1/0.02/0/0.1, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /var/lib/mailman/mail/mailman post test)
after the update
the trasport file was deleted no idea way, and since the update any file add in /etc/postfix/ is deleted.
the log:
test@mydomain.xyz>, relay=mailman, delay=1.3, delays=1.2/0.01/0/0.11, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (user unknown)
after some tweak :(deleting the line mydomain.xyz mailman:) from transport i get this

Hi guys i almost end setting up my server with zentyal 2.2 and so i was traying to use the /etc/aliase file but when i try to send an email to postmaster@mydomain.xx i get this
User unknown in virtual mailbox table
i fallow what this user did http://forum.zentyal.org/index.php?topic=6054.0 but so far no luck
and this is the way that i setup this in main.cf.mas
alias_maps = $alias_database, hash:/var/lib/mailman/data/aliases
alias_database = hash:/etc/aliases
local_recipient_maps = proxy:unix:passwd.byname $alias_maps

Hello team i am trayng to bring zentyal to my workplace but i am facing a problem with the mail, since a while already i am traing to see any doc about the subject here, create a mailtransport for severals subdomains who posses they own MTA but so far no luck so i ask if someone can lightup my problem here.Using 2.2 version.

Hello to everyone here is a short guide for setting zentyal 2.2 in a openvz with proxmox most of the issue that i found where related to firewall module.
Starting
1- The node must have the fallowing modules up
modprobe xt_mark
modprobe ipt_mark
modprobe ip_conntrack
2-Check /etc/vz/vz.conf there must be a IPTABLE section with the next parameters:
"ipt_REDIRECT ipt_multiport ipt_state ipt_REJECT ipt_tos ipt_TOS ipt_LOG ip_conntrack ipt_limit ipt_multiport iptable_filter iptable_mangle
ipt_TCPMSS ipt_tcpmss ipt_ttl ipt_length ipt_state iptable_nat ip_nat_ftp ipt_owner ip_conntrack_ftp ip_nat_irc ipt_helper ipt_conntrack ip_conntrack_irc"
3- Create the container with a standar template of ubuntu 10.04 provide by proxmox's team
4- Set up the contanier, the usual stuff network, sourcelist... and add to it the zentyal's ppa.
5- Install aptitude and make a safe-upgarde
6- Create the admin group (necessary for access to zentyal is web interface)
7- Create the user/s that will hava acces to zentyaweb-GUI and add those to admin group.(Note i belive that zentyal will not allow concurrent conections from thow admin user fo security rasons)
8- Then apititude install zentyal-software zentyal-services, aftter this you can access to the web interface and install the rest of the modules that you may need.
I most add that i find necesary reboot the node for some setting to be properly accepted for the container.

4-Instalar aptitude y actualizar el sistema con un safe-upgrade
5-Crear el grupo admin (necesario para acceder a la interfaz web de zentayl)
6-Crear el usuario o usuarios que podrán acceder y añadirlos al grupo admin (NOTA según tengo entendido zentyal no permite
que varios administradores accedan por la web simultáneamente por seguridad)
7-Añadir el ppa de zentyal al source.list
Actualizar el source.list en instalar unicamente zentyal-software zentyal-services
seguir con la instalación y acceder por la interfaz web.
Debo agregar que encontré necesario reiniciar el nodo donde
se encontraba la openvz para que tomara correctamente algunos módulos.
Probado en Proxmox 1.9
con dos kernels diferentes:

Debo agragar que zentyal reconoce la interfaz venet0 y tambien la muestra en la interfaz web si no desean que esta se muestre o cualquier otra entonces deben ir a /etc/zentyal/network.conf alli hay un apartado donde se definen que interfaces ignorar solo deben agregarla alli y listo. Saludos

Spanish / Duda con opcion general del modulo Mail que no aparece!!! (RESUELTO)

Hola a todos he estado trabajando con el modulo de correo, pero leyendo la Documentacion me he encontrado con algo que no coincide. Estoy usando la vercion 2.2-1. Segun la documentacion en el apartado de Opciones generales deberia habee una opcion llamada autenticacion pero la misma no aparece en mi sistema curioso tambien es que en la imagen de la documentación tampoco aparece la misma http://doc.zentyal.org/es/mail.html# como ven en la docu se habla de Correo ‣ General ‣ Opciones del servidor de correo ‣ Autenticacion, pero yo no enuenyto eso, entonces pregunto, esta opcion esta despreciada en la vericion 2.2-1, es un bug de zentyal o un error en la documentacion.Saludos y espero sus respuestas.gracias por todo

I was using the mail module but this options "Authentication" is anywhere to be found acording to the doc should be in and quote "You can manage the authentication options Through Mail ‣ General ‣ Mail server options ‣ Authentication." but just like the preview image in the doc this is not found http://doc.zentyal.org/en/_images/01-general.png. So i ask, where is the error in the doc, in zetyal or is this a deprecated option.Thanks four your time.I most add i am using vercion 2.2-1.

First, congratulations for all your work is really great.But since i moved from my previous debian lenny where i had a squid proxy for my user and a stable websurfing to a zentyal 2.04 my user can no longer surf through the web.So i check some possible problem like dns but it work just fine then i check the log of the squid but nothings comes up wrong. My proxy required authentication since there is a parent proxy above my proxy so the password of my user most match in both servers this work just fine. but there is a delay somewhere that it wasn't before, the delay is between 20-60 second or more. the usuals error messages are (run out of time or that the server is taking to long to answer so is down (which is not) and if a webpage open don't load all the content like pic.just to give one example (if the main page of google open www.google.com and i make a question i never get the answer to that question it just stay in a loop. If anyone have a clue of what may be the cause of this behavior i would really appreciated.Thanks for all your work. and sorry for my english.

Spanish / Navegacion demasiado lenta (RESUELTO)

Ok les describo el panorama, recientemente pase un debian 5 con varios servicios entre ellos squid (donde debo agregar la navegación de internet era buena) a un Zentyal 2.0-4 con básicamente los mismos servicios y todo funciona de maravillas pero (siempre hay uno) pero la navegacion es insostenible al punto de que las consultas a google no las responde pues el tiempo se agota y nos hemos quedado sin internet por el momento, aclaro que estamos en una cascada de proxys y por tanto tuve que agregar manualmente la opción login=PASS al squid.conf.mas que esta en /usr/share/ebox/stub/.... alguien podría indicarme si tiene experiencia como resolver esta situación.Gracias por su trabajo.
