Installation and Upgrades / Re: Zentyal 7 issues inside LXD
« on: May 13, 2021, 08:01:21 pm »
How do you install it under LXd ? I never managed to do so because of https://github.com/lxc/lxd/issues/3442#issuecomment-311622221 and support for quotas

I use BTRFS and quotas are not that much of a problem, I use it more for AD purposes

Anyway I got an issue with ifup and ifdown, I do not have netplan or network manager installed.
can anyone give me a hint on what to do?

Update fixed some issues, samba, nginx and uwsgi do not start at boot.
default route does not apply
restarting zenyal service makes all net config vanish.

This happens in upgraded or clean install on a LXD container
I have the following issues to report
- defining default routes at startup
- losing all IP address when firewall is installed

I cannot trace what is happening but it's related with zentyal service but only after firewall is installed, I know it is not much...

Tried to add fixed ip and default route, Zentyal web console loads but AD management interface is not working even if it is installed.

:)

RADIUS is really easy of configuring simply read the docs. You can configure your network interface as VLAN Trunk https://doc.zentyal.org/en/firststeps.html#vlan-trunk

I think this should solve your problem.

Cheers!

802.1x is dynamicly assigning vlans to switch ports based on you authentication, this does not solve my problem...

Directory and Authentication / Dynamic vlan 802.1x with LDAP or RADIUS?
« on: October 07, 2019, 07:42:32 pm »
Hi

I am trying to get 802.1x configured for AP and a switch.

is it possible to add config to Samba4 LDAP or RADIUS and how?

I dont see any interface that allows this, so manually?

i.e.
Tunnel-Type:0 = VLAN
Tunnel-Medium-Type:0 = IEEE-802
Tunnel-Private-Group-Id:0 = "216"
