Title: Home access

I'm using Ebox in a school and I wander if it's possible to configure it to enable home access to user folders.

Hi.
You could do that through VPN... Correction, you should only do it through VPN (I wouldn't advise you to open the samba server to the world wide web....)

I disagree. I see nothing wrong with having a samba server on the WWW. Just dont publicise it and dont log on to an admin account over the internet without a VPN. (in the off chance that someone sniffs your password). I know many schools do this, (mine does with AFP)

I think that the Samba service wasn't made to be published directly to the world wide web, not only because of security issues, but also because it wasn't meant to be that way... Imagine your samba server sending NetBIOS packages over you internet connection...  :-\
