Installation and Upgrades / Zentyal 4.0.1 ActiveSync problem?
« on: November 06, 2014, 12:07:28 pm »
Hello,

Today i installed the 4.0.1 core update for Zentyal 4. Finaly i can open OpenChange in the Dashboard.
I was hoping to find the ActiveSync configuration here like in Zentyal 3.5. Now where can i enable activesync because it isn't working.

I believe sogo-activesync and zpush were integrated in zentyal 4.

1: for zentyal dashboard overwrite /var/lib/zentyal/conf/ssl/ssl.pem with your .pem file
2: for sogo webmail overwrite /etc/ocsmanager/"domainname".pem with your .pem file
3: for dovecot overwite /etc/dovecot/private/ssl.pem with your .pem file

service apache2 restart
service dovecot restart
service nginx restart

Unfortunately these .pem files are overwritten after a reboot of the server.
Trying to find the script that's responsible for this :)

touch /etc/postfix/generic
postmap /etc/postfix/generic

this will fix the transport error

did you perhaps found the answer?
I'm struggling with the same issues and it's almost impossible the configure the server.

Hi,

I cannot properly configure the openchange because everytime when i select openchange under mail in teh zentyal dashboard it gives me a 504 gateway timeout nginx.
What can i do to tweak the system to get rid of this 504 error?

tried this in nginx.conf

  proxy_connect_timeout       600;
  proxy_send_timeout            600;
  proxy_read_timeout            600;
  send_timeout                      600;

no success

restored my zentyal server back to 3.5.3 and everything is working fine.

- 3.5.3 (3.5.4 available)

So now there are 13 components updates, 74 system updates waiting.

By the way, we are already documenting how to replace all that functionality not present in 4.0 ;)

Now that would be great!

Installed Zentyal 4.0, got it up and running.. Works fine.... BUT!

Can't believe that they actually dropped the backup, webserver and ups module while Jabber still exists... gotta be a joke right?
I really see no reason why I (or anyone else) should upgrade (or rather downgrade) to Zentyal 4.0.

I edited /etc/logrotate.d/cups-daemon into:

/var/log/cups/*log {
        daily
        missingok
        rotate 7
        sharedscripts
        prerotate
                if [ -e /var/run/cups/cupsd.pid ]; then
                        /etc/init.d/cups stop > /dev/null
# invoke-rc.d --quiet cups stop > /dev/null
                        touch /var/run/cups/cupsd.stopped
                fi
        endscript
        postrotate
                if [ -e /var/run/cups/cupsd.stopped ]; then
                        rm /var/run/cups/cupsd.stopped
                        /etc/init.d/cups start > /dev/null
#invoke-rc.d --quiet cups start > /dev/null
                        sleep 10
                fi
        endscript
        compress
        notifempty
        create
}

---------------------------------

Now everything starts just fine!
