Installation and Upgrades / Re: move of DC
« on: March 29, 2021, 10:45:48 pm »
Hi Lueghi,
not a real solution, but it helped....
- make a SOGo-Backup (if needed) => Calender / Adressbook (...) saved, but no mails
- make a backup of /var/vmail/{maildomain} => Mails are saved
- try to make a Zentyal ConfigBackup ( failed for me)
Build a new server, configure it ;-) ( if your Zentyal backup works => should be good for config)
- copy back the mails and set "fitting" POSIX rights
- restore SOGo data
reboot server and test ;-)

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Command line shutdown/power off
« on: January 21, 2021, 09:12:52 am »
Hi,
most UPS'es I know have something like a client to do a clean shutdown when the primary powersource fails.
e.g. APC uses "PowerChute"...

Hi, yes, the command is valid.
Alternative: sudo init 0 (or init 6 to reboot)

Email and Groupware / Cannot send mails (Thunderbird)
« on: December 29, 2020, 03:22:01 pm »
Hi,
today I realized that I am no longer able to send mails with Thunderbird (SSL).
When sending from a mobile / WebMail everything is working smooth...
The only strang thing I could find in the logs is, that the Client connects and (after some time) looses its connection.
Tested with two useraccounts on two different devices.
Does anyone have an idea?

Installation and Upgrades / Re: Move Zentyal 6.2 Domain A/D server to a new motherboard?
« on: December 27, 2020, 12:41:20 am »
you could do a "PreTest" with a VM ;-)
normally it should work, but sometimes new hardware ( mainboard,...) need some fine tuning...

Installation and Upgrades / Re: No WebMail View
« on: December 16, 2020, 01:30:08 pm »
this is solved, but I do not know exactly what helped...
- deleted many old mails: ( tested it ~15 min after deleting => still blank page )
- moved remaining old mails to archive (folder within the mailbox): ( tested it ~15 min after deleting => still blank page )
tested ~ 1/2 day after the steps: now it is working again as expected...
==> hope this will never happen again...

Installation and Upgrades / Re: No WebMail View
« on: December 14, 2020, 06:11:30 pm »
It seems that only my account is (somehow) damaged, other users can login.
Also: Calendar & Addressbook is working via WebGUI.
Only the mails cannot be seen :-(

Installation and Upgrades / No WebMail View (partially) [SOLVED]
« on: December 14, 2020, 02:30:31 pm »
Hi,
after doing the latest updates, the WebMail is showing only an empty page (no entries visible).
In the Logs I found the following (not sure if it is relevant...):
gogo.log:
sogod[5732:5732] parseTimeZone: cannot parse time notation 'GMT'
(several times)
nothing in the syslog :-(
Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Email and Groupware / Re: SOGo calendar and contacts not working after upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2
« on: August 19, 2020, 10:46:52 am »
I once had a similar situation...
I rebooted my two DCs together, and the one with the Mail Service has started before the "PDC" started completely...
Restarting WebMail / Mail Service afterwards fixed it...
=> when you have to reboot your Servers, it is best to reboot the Primary DC, and when this has finished reboot the other boxes...

Directory and Authentication / Solved: [ WebGUI] Users vanished, Groups still existent
« on: March 26, 2020, 05:53:06 pm »
Hi,
I just realised, that all useraccounts are vanished when viewing them via WebGUI ( Users and Computers).
They are still existing when accessing via dsa.msc, but I do not see any option there to change (e.g.) mailbox settings.
Does anyone have a clue where to look?
Regards
Thomas

Hi,
did you check the permissions in the sysvol folder?
Maybe your clients cannot read this share... (Please check Unix and NTFS Permissions)

German / Re: Nur teilweise DHCP IP Adressen Zuweisung
« on: March 20, 2020, 01:02:28 pm »
Hi,
