Hi all
I am about to deploy Zentyal for one of my clients.
Unfortunately, I could not find a way to block external access to port 443, while allowing say for example port 5000 to forward to port 443. I wanted to do this for security reasons, as I want to be able to access the Zentyal Web Page Configuration externally from a different port as I did not want the server exposed it to the internet. I also want to do this for SSH.
So far I have tried: Creating a service to listen for ports, creating a firewall to allow said service to connect (Which for some reason did not work), creating a service to redirect a listened port, using NAT to change incoming port from 5000 to 443 (Which worked, but also allowed access for 443, which I did not want), using firewall rules to block access to 443 (Which for some reason didn't actually block it), allowing port 5000 to NAT while blocking 443 (Could still access from both ports), and various others which I can't remember.
I have been able to get it to connect with both port 443 and 5000, however I have not yet found a way to let the firewall allow access from port 5000 and NOT 443.
How can I accomplish this without editing the port that the service itself is listening on?

I should have Googled around a bit before posting, will post the solution just in case anyone happens to have this same issue.
It turns out that "The HP Dynamic Smart Array B110i/B120i/B320i controller driver for Ubuntu 12.04 is not available. The Ubuntu 12.04 certification was completed in SATA mode." I had to go into the BIOS and change the embedded SATA configuration to Enable Sata AHCI Support.
Upon restarting it has managed to boot into the system.

Hi all
I am attempting to install Zentyal onto a HP Proliant Microserver which has a HP B120i RAID Controller. I configured two HDD's as a RAID 1 to make a logical disk.
When I put in the Zentyal disk (Version 3.4) and begin the install process, it reaches a point where it asks me where do I want to install it. However the options that come up are both the disks, and not the logical disk. No matter which one I install it to, I cannot boot into the OS. Tried to install with LVM too, no change.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did some checking around. Found I couldn't ping outbound, couldn't even ping my router. My gateway IP had been wiped (Not changed, completely removed) and my DNS servers were wiped too. I had to go in and manually set them. Not sure if that had anything to do with zentyal not starting. Will test a bit more.
Edit: I think I fixed it. I will post my solution here, in case anyone in the future has the same issue. You will want to be logged in as root to do the following. (Type "sudo -i" in a terminal)
I tried pinging outbound and got an error stating "connect: Network is unreachable". Confusing, so i did route -n and saw my gateway was 192.168.71.0... Which is a network address? So I went to /etc/network/interfaces and added the line "gateway 192.168.71.254". Restarted the networking process with "/etc/init.d/networking restart" and tried to ping www.google.com which failed... So I then did "pico /etc/resolv.conf" and saw no DNS servers listed. So I manually wrote in "nameserver 8.8.8.8" on a new line.
I then did "apt-get update" and "apt-get upgrade" only to find more updates.
I think something failed during the update process and that was the cause of my issue. I can browse the server webpage now. I fired up a PC and was able to login, access the internet, access the shares, so I think all is good now.

I have everything to the latest version, as I stated in my first post I had upgraded everything.
Running the command you gave me spewed out a bunch of errors.
Edit: Is there anyway to see the version of all the modules without using the GUI? If yes ill run that command and post the results here.

Hi guys
I upgraded all my server modules, etc the latest version last night. After restarting my server it gets stuck on
"Waiting until Zentyal is ready..."
It's been a few hours now and it still says that message. What can I do to fix this issue.

I know where it is located but I couldn't find a way to access it from the windows machine joined to the client.
Does anyone know where the profiles are stored? Including desktop files/icons?

Hi all, I have just joined the forums and I am happy to see such a wonderful OS being put to use.
So far everything I am doing is under a testing environment.
I have a slight problem, sometimes when I login to the domain on a windows machine the users home drive (By default mapped to H:) does not come up. I can easily remap it, except I am not sure how to access the users home drive as when I go to browse the domain controller I can only see sysvol and all my shares.
This has only happened sometimes, and to only some users.
Any help would be appreciated. Gracias!
