Installation and Upgrades / Re: Any easy to set up cloud backup services?
« on: September 25, 2013, 05:09:50 pm »
By cloud I just mean offsite.  I hate the term as well but it's currently "what sells" :-)  Basically I want an offsite backup capability that isn't carbonite.

Installation and Upgrades / Any easy to set up cloud backup services?
« on: September 24, 2013, 05:30:16 pm »
Just curious as the Zentyal cloud is still in beta last I saw.  Has anybody used any specific cloud plugins or installations on 3.2 and later?  I've been out of the Zentyal game for a little bit, but having another look at it.  I'd say I'm an intermediate skill level.  I'm looking for something I can provide to my smaller clients that will just give them a central place to store their files, and back it up to a cloud service of some kind.  The other things Zentyal does are just a bonus.

I'm thinking that part of the problem might be my ISP blocking port 5060.  Im now trying to install asterisk and FreePBX separate from Zentyal, but with zentyal also running.  Anybody else use a similar setup?  FreePBX integrated into Zentyal would really be awesome.

It would also be awesome just to have one simple setting for the email server to allow you to put whatever you want as the FQDN of the mail server... in my case it doesn't allow it because it conflicts with the virtual host.  Would love to go into the groupware option and just set the banner as "mail.mydomain.com" and be done with it - rDNS is definitely going to be an issue

I'm sure it's listed somewhere as "expected behavior".

Installation and Upgrades / Problem with Asterisk/VoIP functionality
« on: March 04, 2011, 04:21:32 pm »
So I've been playing around with this a bit... purchased a trunk from SIPStation.com - and I'm having troubles.  I can call from extension to extension, and I can call outbound, but inbound calls just "drop" without ever ringing through.

So the issues are:
-Can't get inbound calls
-Outbound caller ID - how to set in Zentyal?
-Voicemail waiting indicator - have checked my mailbox, says there are no messages, but I have the message indicator light.

I have a Linksys SPA 962 phone, and the latest everything of Zentyal.

I have the NAT portion set that Zentyal is behind nat: Public IP Address and have the public IP address of my router, which is set to forward port 5060 to 192.168.1.20, which is my Zentyal server.

Would love some help, and/or the ability to administer Asterisk a bit better.

I'm really doubtful of the commercial viability of this product now to be honest... I literally make no changes and these things happen.  And then I get the same shpeel about how I need to pay money for a tech support contract etc.

The stability really seems to be an issue - everybody on the staff side says it isn't, but from a user's perspective, it just doesn't seem to be refined enough to feel comfortable selling to a customer.

Status:    Last update successful.

This is what I see... Tried restarting the module.  All I've done with this box is apply updates to it; haven't made any config changes in quite some time.  Any ideas?

Sorry, thought your instructions were complete and meant to be cut and pasted.

You can only download Zarafa Community Edition (inc 3 Outlook users support) from their website. That's why is not integrated directly in Zentyal. The included version is completely OSS but you can just download the Debian packages from their website, install on top and will work:

dpkg -P --force-depends zarafa-*
dpkg -i zarafa-xxx/*.deb
/etc/init.d/ebox zarafa restart

and should work.

dpkg: warning: ignoring request to remove zarafa-* which isn't installed.
user@zen:~$ sudo dpkg -i zarafa-xxx/*.deb
dpkg: error processing zarafa-xxx/*.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
Errors were encountered while processing:
 zarafa-xxx/*.deb

Do I need to have Zentyal be an AD controller?  Right now I am running it domainless.

can you give a little more detail on the crontab?
